While the New York Knicks will be playing their final game of the 2016-17 NBA season on Wednesday night, they won’t do so without some drama beforehand. That drama is in the name of Joakim Noah.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Knicks’ center Joakim Noah will need to undergo surgery on a torn left rotator cuff.

While he was already out for the remainder of the year, this injury only decimates any chance Noah has at redemption next season. His 20 game suspension for PED’s – which he’s already served part of this year – has only worsended his chances at such a campaign.

Noah averaged 5.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and a career low 0.8 blocks per game in the 2016-17 season. His four-year, $72 year contract signed last off-season has been nothing short of a disaster for the Knicks.
